Named one of UT Knoxville’s 40 Under 40 in 2025, Anne Buckle is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and music producer with songs streamed millions of times. A descendent of the Carter Family and a cousin of June Carter Cash, Anne has country music in her blood, but she took a non-traditional path to Nashville. She earned her master's degree from Harvard University and bachelor’s in music from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville then went on to spend her first few years out of college working for the U.S. Department of State and the governor of Tennessee before leaving the 9-5 world behind to pursue her dreams in music full-time.
As an artist, she has shared the stage with the late Charlie Daniels, toured with Augustana, opened for The Chicks on their DCX MMXVI World Tour, performed on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry, and has become a regular at the world famous Bluebird Cafe. As a songwriter, she has had her songs recorded by more than 20 other artists including American Idol’s David Archuleta and Lindy Boone, daughter of legendary crooner Pat Boone. Anne is proud to be part of the Country Music Hall of Fame’s nationally acclaimed Words & Music and Songwriting 101 programs at the Taylor Swift Education Center, where she teaches songwriting to hundreds of K-12 and university students annually.
